The team was out in force at SIEC over the weekend. Thursday began with the young horses series finals, where Ned had is first outing on exciting young mare, Rosthwaite Tolloona, in the 4yo class to take out Champion from a very classy field, across Australia. Very impressive result, from an exciting new combination.

Friday again another extreamly succesful day for the Rosthwaite team. James began the day with a 2nd on Connollys Tru Balou in the hotely contested 1m class with over 150 entries. James Backed up this with 1st riding Rosthwaite Gullumae and an impressive 2nd riding Rose Rayners, Specstar, in the first Young Rider Qualifer A2, a fantastic result for two horses that are still green at this level, from a very classy feild.

James finished the day with a 2nd and a 3rd in the 1.10m with Tru Balou and Bordeaux respectivily, again a great result condsidering the massive feild of 180+, and both horses quite green at this level.

Ned also finished very well in the Futurity riding Northern Capfinesterre, one of his biggest classes to date, just missing out on qualifying for the finial with an unlucky 4 faults. James and Bling also jumping a great round, finishing on 8 faults due to rider error, but some fantastic jumping from bling.

Continuing her form, Bordeaux placed 5th in the 1m on saturday, Sunday began with James and Gullumae placeing 5th in the hotley contested young rider finial. Also Tru Balou and Bordeaux and impressivly taking out 1st and 2nd from those big feilds in the 1m, Tru Balou backed that up fantasticly with 1st in the 1.10m, very pleased with how this combination is coming together, exciting times ahead.

Now time for a well deserved break, before we gear up for another big year at rosthwaite farm in 2014
