Time & Space to be a Horse

Experience Counts

Rosthwaite Farm has been operating for Trainers at Warwick Farm since 2003.  We are completely hands on and we take great pride and satisfaction in doing this work ourselves.

Racing is intense work. When its time to rest, athletes need a place they can really relax.

A place to be a horse. Clean Air - No Stress, beautiful timber rail paddocks, management that doesn’t just look — they see and understand, the things that sensitive thoroughbreds need.

Rosthwaite Farm in the cool Southern Highlands, can give your thoroughbred the natural nutrition, and environment to thrive.

References are available from Metropolitan and Country Trainers, Veterinarians and Stud Managers’.

Pamela has been training & conditioning show horses for thirty years including winning at State and Royal level. Her family has bred metro winning thoroughbreds and standardbreds.

Her experience includes stud and broodmare management, preparing yearlings along with truck transport, spelling and injury recovery.

Wellbeing

Rugging when needed, veterinary, & any other service deemed necessary for the wellbeing of the horse and where sought, successful conception, will be performed and costs passed on to the Owner.

All horses are drenched upon arrival, and allowed to settle in. Balanced concentrated feeds, and top quality hay are provided twice daily.

Because we can tailor feeds indiviually, specialist additives can be provided to improve foot growth; to repair stomach lining, build muscle mass or calm nervous temperaments.

Other services include our own experienced truck transport and regular visits by metropolitan trainers chiropractor, as well as regular, quality farriery, dentistry and veterinary. We have renowned pre-training facilities on our doorstep.

New truck on the way!

Peter has been working with horses for the last few years, and has a special affinity and patience with the young horses. Peter’s background in dairy farming and fruit production provides essential construction and paddock management skills.

Peter keeps everything working from pasture improvement, maintenance, reticulation and irrigation to building safe new facilities..

We can provide your trainer with monthly digital photos of each horse and a Trainer’s Summary – so you know exactly how they are going.

Improving Facilities

Our IRRIGATION system is rolling out with stage one complete and stage two reticulation under construction. Green calcium-rich grass is so important to horses who have been in hard work – great for their stomachs and sensibilities.

We’re always working to improve our facilities - so call us to confirm availability or to visit and inspect.
